Central data management as common denominator: BIMsystems and Contentserv enter into partnership
Contentserv, the leading provider of Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, and BIMsystems, the expert for BIM data management, are now working together to create a "single source of truth" for data. A central point of access to data for all parties involved and intelligent interfaces are intended to make the management and maintenance of data more efficient in the long term, both within the company and externally for BIM, for example. The partnership-based collaboration will open up forward-looking opportunities for digitized construction planning for component manufacturers and planners.

The digital transformation has long been in full swing! Many companies have already taken the first steps. In the process, the construction industry is increasingly under pressure to adapt to the new work requirements of the market and jump on the bandwagon of digitalization.An exemplary development that digitally influences construction planning is Building Information Modeling (short: BIM). Through the PIM system, product-related information is stored media-neutrally and centrally in a database, so that it can be entered only once, enriched and output multiple times in a wide variety of channels. This means that the data is stored centrally, always up-to-date and complete in one place, the "single source of truth". With BIMsystems solutions, they create a one-time BIM connection and the BIM content is automatically updated.
